SCHIPOL - Finally

It was a sunny day in the end of August 2013. I finally made my journey to the beautiful Europe! I took MAS flight from Jakarta and arrived in the morning at Schipol Airport on the next day.
I was really excited, living the dream!

(I felt like the life will be better after this but I was wrong! my life became far more better than before!)

Schipol is a damn big airport! really! and also this was my first trip abroad. I ate a lot on the plane so I didn't even have time to do my breakfast right after I arrived in Amsterdam (later on, I knew that Schipol is not in the heart of Amsterdam! LOL)

(the meal on the plane was damn good!)

I went to the Netherlands with four friends of mine! and all we did right after arrived at Schipol was.... TAKING PICTURE LOL!! because we, indonesian, took a lot of picture compared to whole pictures taken by entire students at class during our one year master program, my Dutch friend saying that, "no more picture! Hahahaha"

well, the trip that day was not over yet! we still have to go to the northern part of the Netherlands! Groningen! yeay...

We bought our first dagkaart - a day ticket for train- it is the cheapest way to travel around the Netherlands. unfortunately we have not yet knew that rule! so we just used it once! (T,T)

Schipol-Groningen is about 2,5 hours by train... and we were amazed by clean nice train! with free wifi of course! just pick wifi in the trein! log in by your browser, and click accept the rules, and taraaaaa.... you are on the line!! BTW, it is a convenience train held by ns.nl. later on I miss the train a lot!

FYI, if you want to buy the train ticket in the Netherlands, you can do it online on www.ns.nl . or you also can do it by ATM-look-like machine at the station. but yeah, you should have Dutch bank account to do it (mine was abnamro bank). there is also OV-chipkart, a card for paying all your public transportation modes (buses, train, metro subway, tram, waterbus, etc) you can buy it online for personal card and cost 7.5euro.
